Production is officially underway for “Greendale, Saskatchewan,” an adaptation of Neil Young’s 2003 rock opera.
Production team members recently toured the venue to map out staging and effects. We couldn’t be more happy to be welcomed and supported by the Exchange, Regina’s premier local music venue. Thank you, SCES executive director John Kennedy!
If you hear construction noises, it might be a couple of team members getting an early start building the town. On props, Avianna Hudym brings a wealth of experience from the Globe Theatre, alongside Krystal Lewis, a SPIT! executive member and longtime all-round theatre production volunteer.
The crew behind the scenes so far:
- Trish Elliott – Director
- Kris Alvarez – Assistant director and dramaturge
- Krystal Lewis – Production assistant
- Avianna Hudym – Props advisor
- Logan Weir – Lighting director
- Ringo Jedlic – Projection artist
- Cathy McComb & Valerie Phillips – Costuming
- Tria Donaldson & Dawn Stanger – Fundraising
We still crew openings for:
- Stage manager (usher actors on and off during the show)
- Props manager (in charge of moving props during the show)
- Audience facilitators (assisting audience participation)
- Ticket takers and merch sellers
